 Great Job Guys!! 

  Hello fellow anglers!! Well, another big stringer came in this month.  Was anyone really surprised? Not me, March has always produced big fish.

  The tournament was held at Rayburn out of the San Augustine ramp.  The anglers started the morning off fighting the FOG.  Yes, it was very foggy.  Once the fog lifted it was a nice day on Big Sam with reports of a lot of fish being caught.  Most of the anglers reported catching large numbers in 4’ of less mostly on soft plastics.  The Big Stringer of the day came off a trap in 7’ to 10’ of water.  The water temp was near 60°F and very muddy north of the ramp.  The further you went south the water seemed to clear up.  Most of the anglers believed that we were a few weeks early on the spawn, which means I should be up there now instead of writing this letter.  Oh well.

  Congrats to Wes Murdock who had the winning stringer of 14-12.5.  You know we used to think that we were doing good to get 14lbs with 5 fish and now we are doing it with just 3 fish, just look at some of the past results.  I think the club has come a long way and people are learning to catch better fish.  Well check out the tournament results below and look at the shake up in the top 6 standings.

This will be the last tournament to get into the new progressive pot (8lbs or more).  The pot is at $130. If you are not going to make the tournament please send $5 with someone. 

  Chris Melton has once again lengthened his lead, but Wes Murdock jumped from 5^th to 2^nd to challenge Lump for the lead and let’s not forget about Chris Booker which is in 3^rd and who is going to be on his home lake next tournament. So does Lump have enough lead going into the last three tournaments?  Is the frog bite going to come back soon enough to make a difference?  Is T-bend going to play into the Angler of the Year out come?  It’s time to step up your game.  Man, I like close races.  Good Luck to All!!  

  The next tournament is 3/29/08 at 6-Mile Public ramp on T-Bend.  You need to be at the ramp and paid by 6:30am.  We will take out between 6:45am and 7:00am.  Please do not be late. 

I am going to buy some frogs!!!!
